The "geek" issue is mainly a concern within a Canadian culture context. While other cultures may have similar issues, the mix of cultures in Canada makes this problem a hard one to see. It IS there, however, and if this blog has, at the very least, raised an awareness of the possiblity it does exist, then I believe it was worthwhile.
